Our Story
WeddingAI.video was born from a simple observation: there are millions of beautiful wedding moments locked away in damaged VHS tapes, forgotten 8mm reels, and hastily-shot phone videos — and the traditional restoration industry simply can't keep up with the demand or the price points.
We started in 2024 as a small team of filmmakers and AI researchers who believed that the latest generation of AI tools — properly applied by humans who care about storytelling — could bring these moments back to life at a fraction of the traditional cost. Today, we serve couples in 12+ countries, with a focus on making every video we touch look like it was filmed yesterday.
We don't replace human creativity. We amplify it. Every project is reviewed by a professional editor before delivery, and we're not happy until you're happy.

Why we built this — from Alex
In 2017 I edited my sister's wedding footage. The videographer had given her a 4-minute highlight reel; my sister wanted the full ceremony but the original raw file was lost. The audio was great; the visual was shaky and over-exposed. I spent two weekends color-correcting and stabilizing, and she cried when she saw it. She said it was the first time she could really watch her own wedding.
I started getting asked to do this for friends. Then friends of friends. By 2020 I was spending every weekend on other people's wedding tapes. I tried traditional restoration services — they cost $1,500+ and took 6 weeks. I tried generalist AI tools — they made everything look like AI.
In 2024 I teamed up with Maria (colorist, 8 years at a wedding studio in San Francisco) and Dr. James Park (computer vision researcher who'd been quietly fine-tuning motion models for archival footage). Sofia joined as Client Experience — she used to plan weddings and knows what couples actually need. We started WeddingAI.video to make this kind of careful, human-reviewed restoration accessible starting at $9.9 instead of $1,500+.

What We Believe
Every love story deserves a beautiful film. Not every couple has $10,000 for a videographer. Not every wedding has 4K cameras. We believe your story matters regardless of your budget or how it was captured.
AI is a tool, not a replacement for craft. The algorithms do the heavy lifting, but a human filmmaker reviews every output. We never send AI-generated footage without an editor's final pass — your video is touched by real humans before you see it.
Transparency over hype. We'll tell you honestly if your footage can't be improved as much as you'd hoped, or if a different service would serve you better. Our reputation depends on happy clients, not upsells.
What We Don't Do (and When We're Not the Right Fit)

We don’t shoot weddings
If you need a videographer on-site at your wedding, hire one. We work with footage you (or your videographer, or your guests) already captured.
We don’t do same-day edits
Our standard turnaround is 48 hours at minimum. If you need a video playing at the reception, that’s a different service.
We don’t handle full wedding planning
We don’t coordinate vendors or timelines. We’re a video post-production studio, not a planner.
We don’t fabricate voices
For Family Tribute, we only reconstruct a voice if you have prior recordings. We will not put words in a deceased loved one’s mouth.

Can I speak with a real person about my project?
Always. Every inquiry is answered by Sofia, our Client Experience Manager, within 24 hours. For larger projects we can also schedule a 30-minute video call to walk through your footage together before you commit.
Where is your team based?
Our core team is in the US (coast-to-coast) and we have partner editors in the UK, Germany, and Argentina. Every project is overseen by a US-based senior filmmaker regardless of where the editing happens.
How long have you been in business?
WeddingAI.video launched in 2024, but our team has been in the wedding video industry since 2015. The AI services are new; the craftsmanship is not.
What if I'm not happy with the result?
Two rounds of revisions are included with every service at no extra cost. If after revisions you're still not satisfied, we offer a full refund — no questions asked. We've processed over 500 projects with a 4.9/5 average rating, and we've refunded fewer than 5 projects total.
